It was such a delight to have our second reading to kick off this important event. Since the event, I have had students write their reactions; overwhelmingly, the reponses have been POSITIVE. They loved having the BODY SECRETS of SIERRA COLLEGE flashing while the reading took place. Others said that although the venue was noisy, they were intrigued by the discussions before and after the reading. Some were overheard saying, "I thought I was the only one who hated. . .fill in body part here. . ." Others were excited to create their own SIERRA SECRET and participate. Ultimately, everyone who wrote a reaction said that this event is the kind of event needed to change attitudes about body image--a change towards POSITIVE AND LOVING thinking. The free ice cream was a bonus too. : o) Thanks again to all who joined us: Kristen, Shelley, Ashley, Amanda, Sarah, Marlan and Shelia.
