Love Your Body Week Logo Competition
Feeling creative? Design and submit a logo for Love Your Body Week! The winning logo will receive $250 in cash and a Barnes and Noble gift card for $250. The winning submission will be used as the logo for Love Your Body Week in spring 2009 and spring 2010.
What is a logo? A logo is generally an image or images that accompany a name. The focus of the LYBW logo should communicate LYBW and the following quote “Love your body take back the world” Eve Ensler Who Can
Enter: All current Sierra College students, faculty, and staff members.
When: Entries must be submitted by 5 pm on November 24, 2008 – late submissions are not eligible. Winning entry will be announced on December 3, 2008.
How: Submissions must include both an 8½” x 11” hard copy and a digital copy. Entries can be dropped at the following locations: Rocklin Campus – Weaver 222; Roseville Gateway – RG 10; NCC - Library. Please include with your submission your full name, address, phone number, and email.
Judges: Entries will be judged by a panel of individuals representing Love Your Body Week. Panel members will not be eligible to submit entries.
By participating in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by these officials rules and regulations and the decisions of Sierra College and waive any right to claim ambiguity in this contest or these contest rules.
Logo Submission Rules / Guidelines: Multiple Entries: Entrants may submit multiple entries as long as each entry is submitted with the appropriate documentation. Disqualification: An entrant’s submission will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of Sierra College, if entrant attempts to a) to enter the contest though means other than described in these rules and regulations; or b) disrupts the contest or tampers with the contest; or c) enters any content deemed as unacceptable in nature, which will be at the discretion of Sierra College. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website, entry or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and Sierra College reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Award Winner Announcement: Information about the winning logo will be shared with the public via a Sierra College press release and posted to the website once the decision has been made. The winner will be personally contacted by telephone or email using the contact information provide on the entry form. Eligibility: All current students, faculty members and staff of Sierra College may enter. By entering, entrant releases and holds harmless Sierra College and its respective students, faculty, and staff from any damage or liability of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest, including but not limited to claims based upon the infringement of a third party’s intellectual property rights or claims based upon the enjoyment of the award. Contest entrants also agree to release Sierra College from any liability whatsoever, and waives any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, losses, or damages, of any kind arising out of or in connection with the LYBW logo contest.
In addition, contest entrants irrevocably and in perpetuity grant and assign to Sierra College all worldwide right, title, and interest in and to any logo submitted by contest entrants and to all intellectual property created by contest entrant arising out of participation in the in the Sierra College LYBW logo contest, and the ownership of same shall be vested totally to Sierra College for its own use and disposition. In respect of copyright, this assignment shall be effective for the entire duration of the copyright in all countries throughout the world and shall include, but not be limited to, all rights to derivative works and the right to alter the submitted logo at Sierra College’s sole discretion.
