I wish I saw this live.

I didn't make it to the actual event, but I should've made more of an effort to. Man...What was so refreshing about this video is how candid it was with the audience. There's nothing quite like blunt truth being spoken by my peers--it doesn't seem to happen often enough. I identified with a surprising majority of things that the video had to say. What hit me the most was the clip that read, "I'm afraid that people won't love me for who I am...so I keep changing." I realized that this is exactly what I do on a regular basis. At this point, I've changed so many times, trying to satisfy the expectations of the people around me, that I've completely lost who I truly am. I felt relief to see that I'm not the only one who has felt this way. I'm glad so many of my peers recognize what true beauty is, and are willing to speak up and say that they are beautiful, even if society might not think so. Thank you for this.
